FPS EXPO 2018 Returns to Liverpool With More New Exhibitors

Welcome to FPS EXPO 2018 – Returning to Exhibition Centre Liverpool for the third year, there is great excitement about all that FPS EXPO 2018 has in store for exhibitors and visitors alike on 18 and 19 April 2018.

This annual event, covering over 8100 sq. metres of exhibition floorspace with over 120 exhibitors, continues to receive serious commitment from all the major suppliers from every corner of the oil distribution industry. As well as oil equipment, which remains a key area of the show, this specialist exhibition appeals to manufacturers, suppliers and end users from the areas of oil suppliers, tanker manufacturers, fuel companies, lubricant companies, fleet operators, software suppliers and professional organisations.

Now in its 38th year, the exhibition builds on the number of visitors and the countries they are visiting from and organisers of FPS EXPO 2018, the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers, say pre-registration for visitors is up 10% on day one of the 2017 exhibition.

There is also a big increase in new exhibitor numbers this year, with over 14 new companies showcasing new products and services and providing an array of demonstrations and information. Amongst those exhibiting for the first time are Bunded Fuel Tanks t/a Weld Smart Ltd, GreenChem Ltd, Fairfax 3D Design, Cardfox Merchant Services, Normec S.r.l. The Oil Lady Ltd, Ashdowne Oil & Chemical, Close Brothers Asset Finance, REDS Group Ltd, Cavagna UK Ltd, Talent Retention Solutions (TRS) and Wirehouse Employment Services. The new exhibitors are displaying alongside regulars like Scania, Philips 66 UK, RTN, Magyar, Hytek, Emco Wheaton and Williams Tanker Services part of TIP Tanker Services, who are the main sponsors of FPS EXPO 2018.

Show organisers and heating oil trade association, The Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS) is on stand 126 for all visitors who want to find out more about the range of innovative products and services offered to FPS members.

Dawn Shakespeare, FPS Marketing and Events Manager, comments: “We have focused our attention on producing an event for the whole oil distribution sector which is comprehensive and representative of changes within the industry.  For companies looking to get their products in front of a host of buyers, FPS EXPO 2018 will offer an ideal opportunity to do just that. It’s about bringing suppliers and buyers together to do business.

We are hoping to exceed visitor numbers this year and attract even more senior buyers and decision-makers from all sectors of the oil distribution industry.  We hope that FPS EXPO 2018 is a success for everyone involved.”

The FPS’ recently appointed Chief Executive Guy Pulham who joined the FPS in February of this year adds: “I am looking forward to meeting FPS members, potential members and exhibitors during the two-day exhibition.  I believe that the most effective representation comes from talking to the members and understanding their businesses and, as a result, knowing what initiatives or support the FPS can provide and what important issues to take to Government in order to influence and respond to legislation. We must also ensure that the members are fully cognisant of all that is available to them as FPS members from the training we offer, through to depot audits and technical advice to lobbying at Government level.

“The industry is on the verge of change with the Government’s Clean Growth Strategy, 2050 carbon reduction targets and the introduction of Clean Air Zones. It is vital that we all work together with the Government, providing information and ideas on action the government can take to meet carbon reduction targets in off gas grid buildings including taking a stepped change approach to carbon reductions through a government supported nationwide scheme to replace older oil boilers with energy efficient condensing boilers, the development of a bio fuel and alternative research into hybrid systems.

“We will during the show be talking to everyone involved in the industry about the Government’s consultation and call for evidence on ‘A future framework for heat in buildings’ and asking everyone to get involved and submit their ideas and views to make a difference to the Government’s strategy on heat in buildings and its 2050 carbon reduction targets.  It is vital that we all participate and ensure we tell the Government about the vital role our industry plays in supplying energy to off grid homes and businesses. Everyone involved in the oil heating industry should submit their views by 11 June 2018.  It’s our opportunity to make a difference to Government policy! https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/a-future-framework-for-heat-in-buildings-call-for-evidence
